This policy explains how Pilupu handles information when couples create digital wedding invitations, manage RSVPs, and share wedding pages with guests.

Information we collect

  • Wedding and invitation details you add, including names, event dates, venues, schedules, stories, photos, music, guest lists, RSVP settings, and custom text.
  • Guest and RSVP information submitted through an invitation, such as guest names, attendance status, meal or dietary notes, email addresses, phone numbers, plus-one details, and messages.
  • Payment and subscription information processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on Pilupu servers.
  • Technical information, such as device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, approximate location, log data, cookies, and similar diagnostics used to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use information

  • To create, host, personalize, and share digital wedding invitations and wedding websites.
  • To collect, display, export, and manage guest RSVP responses for the couple or event organizer.
  • To authenticate users, protect accounts, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • To process payments, manage subscriptions, send service messages, and provide customer support.
  • To understand product usage, improve design and performance, and develop new features.

How we share information

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, wedding details, guest lists, or RSVP data with third parties for their own marketing, advertising, or unrelated commercial use.
  • With service providers that help us run Pilupu, including hosting, authentication, database, storage, payment, analytics, security, and email providers.
  • With the couple or event organizer who owns the invitation when guests submit RSVP or guest details.
  • With guests who receive a shared invitation link, depending on what the couple publishes on the wedding page.
  • When required by law, legal process, safety needs, fraud prevention, or to protect the rights of Pilupu, our users, or others.
  • As part of a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

Your choices

  • You can edit or remove many wedding details from your dashboard.
  • You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by contacting us.
  • Guests can contact the couple or Pilupu to request changes to RSVP information submitted through an invitation.
  • You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some cookies are required for login, security, and core site functionality.

Retention and security

  • We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
  • We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
  • If you delete an account or wedding, some information may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, payment records, or where retention is legally required.

International users

  • Pilupu may process information in the United States, India, and other countries where our providers operate.
  • By using Pilupu, you understand that privacy laws may differ from those in your location, and information may be transferred across borders as needed to provide the service.

Children

  • Pilupu is intended for adults planning or managing wedding events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
  • If you believe a child has provided personal information to Pilupu, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
